Who we are
The Delany family of Julianstown who have trained racehoreses since the 1870's have opend the first cold water equine spa in north leinster with a purpose built 15 box stable yard surrounding it.
The treatment which has been shown to dramatically cut the healing times required for a variety of common ailments in the equine athlete, be it a racehorse , show jumper or hunter.
The use of the Equine Spa promises to be a major leap forward in the care of the performance horse, saving time and money for owners as well as alleviating pain in the injured animal.
"We have been using the sea to treat injured horeses for years" says Mark Delany, "so when we heard of this new machine we knew immediately that it would work. It makes
sense to us on many levels. There are 12 racetracks with all the ancillary trainers within a 60 miles radius of Julianstown, plus a good population of other types of horses"
There is no doubting the commitment of Mark Delany in building up this new enterprise. But the Delany family have a long history of success with horses at Corballis. Mark's great
grand uncle Eddie won an Irish National from there in the 1890's. Mark's Great - Grandfather Paddy was one of the co-founders of Laytown Races in the 1890's and Mark's father
Eamon was just 14 years old when he rode his first winner.
Eamon has been involved successfully in the breeding and racing of race horses over many years.
